Coyote Hunting
On Sunday I went out to Albany and went coyote hunting. I was using my deer gun because my .22 is being customized, and cleaned at the moment. I was there for a few hours and had a feeling that I was gonna see something but I didn't see anything not even a squirrel. Better luck next time I guess.

Rabid Racoon!!!
I went to my cousins last weekend and I was getting out of the car. To my suprise there was a racoon running across the road, so I threw a ball at it to see what it would do, and it ran at it. It saw me and my cousins and started coming towards us, and thats when I figured out it was sick, so I went and grabbed my .22 and by the time I got back outside it was gone. The next day all of us kids went sledding and we found the coon in the back of a neighboors yard, we got my .22 again and shot it. I hit it but it still ran so I put the gun away, and ran after it with sticks. It was climbing till I hit it then I beat the hell out of it, till it died.

New year resolution!!!
I don't really have a resolution but I really want to shoot the biggest turkey on our land and hopefully a big mature buck. I have seen both of these animals but never close enough to take a shot. I will put up alot of stands and blinds but you will never know which place it's at. Wish me luck I go after the turkey in a few months!!e

Wild Turkey in Wisconsin
The wild turkey is one of Wisconsin success stories because the wildlife managment program keeps the population of the turkey stable. This is good because the turkey hunters like to have a steady population so they can hunt turkey twice a year. I prefer the spring hunt because the turkey are really moving around and seperating. Thats good because they are easier to call in. The population is high this year so I should be able to get at least one tom before the season ends.

2012 Turkey season dates
The dates posted below are the dates of the spring turkey season. I will end up probably getting period C for zone 3, but it all depends on how long the snow stays. If the snow is gone fast during period A then the turkey will start to seperate and will be gobbling. This year I am after the big tom, he has a double, and is close to 30 pounds!!! I am so excited, wish me luck!
Each period of the spring turkey season will be extended by two days. The dates
for each period during the 2012 season are as follows:
a. Period A April 11-17
b. Period B April 18-24
c. Period C April 25- May 1
d. Period D May 2-8
e. Period E May 9-15
f. Period F May 16-22Tuesday, December 6, 2011
Holiday Hunt
The holiday hunt is one of my favorite hunts because there is snow on the ground and it’s easier to see anything that’s moving. Its also more of a challenging hunt because it’s a lot colder so it is harder to stay out longer and wait for the deer. You are going to get as much time in the woods as opening weekend though because the season is a few days longer than the regular gun season. I have spent 50 dollars on tags and me and my father need to get at least one deer to fill our freezer.

2nd weekend
The second weekend of the regular gun season was believe it or not worse then opening weekend. I went out Friday evening with a guy that hunts on our land. He wanted me to sit with him so I did. We sat out till closing time witch is about 4:30 so it was dark enough to the point where it was hard to see. We walked around and he got us lost till like 8 at night. I walked that land all summer and eventually got us back. I also went out on Saturday in the rain. It was very cold and all I had was my gun and my rain jacket. I didnt see anything but a few tree rats and a crow.
